Today, Leo XIV has appointed Archbishop Hubertus van Megen as Apostolic Nuncio to Germany. A Dutch prelate born in 1961, van Megen was ordained for Roermond in 1987 and entered the Vatican diplomatic service. His career includes postings in Somalia, Brazil, Malawi, Sudan, and Eritrea. In 2014, Pope Francis appointed him nuncio to Sudan. Cardinal Pietro Parolin consecrated him a bishop. He later served as nuncio to Kenya and South Sudan, while also acting as the Holy See’s observer to the United Nations Environment Programme and UN-Habitat in Nairobi. After twelve years as nuncio in Africa, van Megen’s move to Germany may amount to a cultural shock. Archbishop van Megen emerges as a typical Francis-era field diplomat: shaped by the Global South, active in UN frameworks, and strongly aligned with interreligious and ecological initiatives. His expansive praise of Francis places him firmly within the current Vatican trajectory. Francis-Era Profile: "The Plague of Clericalism" Monsignor Van …Okunengi
Statements by the Papal Nuncio, van Megen: "Western society's positions on abortion, euthanasia, and gender theory are clear symptoms of a society that has lost its inner compass and, defenseless, is adrift on the turbulent sea of human desires, shaken and, in every sense, weakened." "It is evident to everyone that the West, a secular society, has lost its strength and is increasingly absorbed in itself." Western society has come to "put its lamp under a bushel; its light is growing dimmer and dimmer" (the "lamp under a bushel" is a non-literal quote from Matthew 5:15, Mark 4:21, and Luke 8:16). Why didn't Gloria include these statements?
Thank you for posting this I followed along for 6 minutes and the information is very interesting. However, he made a remark that does indicate where his head is at, "the fake moon landing is the greatest event that ever happened." Ok, I'm paraphrasing but you get the idea! I say no! Being Catholic we believe the greatest event that ever happened in the history of the world is the Resurrection of Our Lord and Savior jesus Christ! So view these government PSYOPs for what they really are, mind trickery to create Cognitive Dissonance. God bless you!
Every country has both good and bad. Israel has such a small portion of good people, that sometimes I don't think they count. It's disgusting for anyone to support them. I see a lot of evil they do, but I don't post much at all on them so that no hate will be stirred in the people. I try to avoid it as much as I can GOD help those who support Israel and what they are doing not only in Israel but other countries like Lebanon, Iran etc. GOD Bless Abby and those who aren't afraid of showing the truth about Israel.
On 8 April, Pope Leo XIV appointed Monsignor Benoît Aubert, 53, as Bishop of Limoges, France. A priest of the Archdiocese of Paris, he has served as pastor of the Dourdan–Bienheureuse-Marie-Poussepin pastoral sector in the Diocese of Évry-Corbeil-Essonnes since 2022, as well as serving as chaplain at Notre-Dame de l’Ouÿe, a retreat centre belonging to the Archdiocese of Paris. He succeeds Bishop Pierre-Antoine Bozo, who was appointed coadjutor bishop of La Rochelle on 19 August 2025. Listening, accompaniment and closeness As episcopal vicar for young adults in Paris, Monsignor Aubert described his role as receiving what young people entrust to him, including "the most intimate, even the most disturbing" experiences, and becoming a kind of "receptacle of hearts". On OeuvreDesVocations.fr, he highlights the "synodal method" of "conversation in the Spirit" in his pastoral approach. Loyal Member of the Apparatus Accordign to Riposte-Catholique.fr, he lost his tenderness when Catholics of …Okunengi

by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira - Folha de S. Paulo, May 22, 1978 - By its very nature, a “brouhaha” hardly lends itself to an article, as all kinds of notes spring from it with the violence and unpredictability of chaos. In recent days, the global brouhaha has become even more pronounced. How can one write a continuous, regular article, like a paved road, about events of the most diverse nature that tragically pop up here and there? The only way is to extract a few facts from the chaos with tweezers, present them as numbered topics, and comment on each as if it were a tiny article. From this laborious operation, five miniatures of horror and one of hope have emerged. On the international stage, the big news in recent days—or the most widely reported fact—is the Red Brigades’ assassination of Mr. Aldo Moro. A prolonged outcry against this crime, truly worthy of utter repudiation, is occurring throughout Italy and the world. The personality of the former prime minister, who at the time …Okunengi
Not sure any news can be trusted. The uranium heist makes more sense than the story about rescuing one flyer.

Since the French Revolution, there has been a systematic genocide of opponents of this communist ideology. The French Revolution was a period of systematic state violence, civil wars, and massacres on political and religious grounds. The violence affected all social classes—from the aristocracy, through the clergy, to peasants and townspeople. Methods included the guillotine, mass shootings, drowning, burning alive, and even executions by artillery. The Bolsheviks in Russia and the Nazis in Germany had a wide selection of methods of killing people perfected during the French Revolution. The descendants of the revolutionaries brought the methods of killing to perfection. Annually, they kill 73 million unborn children, which brings them the greatest satisfaction, because it resembles—or one could even say—replicates the crime of Judas: the spilling of innocent blood. About 200,000 people dying annually in armed conflicts is just an addition. We must not forget euthanasia. Over all these …Okunengi

The Vatican has suspended the beatification process of Argentine Bishop Jorge Novak (1928–2001) in October 2025, the Diocese of Quilmes announced on April 4. Vatican Cardinal Marcello Semeraro revoked the nihil obstat , the authorization to proceed the cause, opened in 2017. The Diocese of Quilmes received the news "sadly". Monsignor Novak was a staunch liberal with lots of "options for the poor". The Vatican cited concerns about Novak’s handling of a priest under his authority. The most substantiated case potentially linked to the Vatican’s decision involves Fr. Rubén Horacio Pardo of Quilmes, although the Vatican has not officially identified the priest in question. He was accused of abusing a 15-year-old boy in 2002. According to reporting at the time, the victim’s mother stated that several priests had warned Bishop Novak prior to Pardo’s ordination, raising concerns about his suitability for the priesthood. Despite these warnings, Novak ordained the homosexual man. In 2013, the …Okunengi
"He /Saint Vincent Ferrer/ always prepared for preaching by prayer. Once, however, when a person of high rank was to be present at his sermon, he neglected prayer for study. The nobleman was not particularly struck by the discourse which had been thus carefully worked up; but coming again to hear the Saint, unknown to the latter, the second sermon made a deep impression on his soul. When St. Vincent heard of the difference, he remarked that in the first sermon it was Vincent who had preached, but in the second, Jesus Christ."
April 1 ~ ST. HUGH, BISHOP IT was the happiness of this Saint to receive from his cradle the strongest impressions of piety by the example and care of his illustrious and holy parents. He was born at Chateau-neuf, in the territory of Valence in Dauphine, in 1053. His father, Odilo, who served his country in an honorable post in the army, labored, by all the means in his power, to make his soldiers faithful servants of their Creator, and by severe punishments to restrain vice. By the advice of his son, St. Hugh, he afterwards became a Carthusian monk, and died at the age of a hundred, having received extreme unction and the viaticum from the hands of his son. Our Saint likewise assisted, in Tier last moments, his mother, who had for many years, under his direction, served God in her own house, by prayer, fasting, and plenteous alms-deeds. Hugh, from the cradle, appeared to be a child of benediction. He went through his studies with great applause, and having chosen to serve God in an …Okunengi
