…The SSPX’s denunciations of Vatican II as containing “heretical” doctrines, its demonization of the papally approved Novus Ordo as “dangerous to souls,” and its vigorous criticisms of all post-conciliar papacies as riddled with “modernism” have now reached a point of theological incoherence. (Lionel: We now know that we can interpret Vatican Council II with a Rational or Irrational Premise and the conclusion is different. The Council interpreted irrationally is heretical and schismatic and should be rejected. However the SSPX and Larry Chapp can interpret the Council rationally and the conclusion will be orthodox) The rationale given by the SSPX for the “need” to ordain new bishops is that the broader Church now lacks the means to provide souls with salvific grace. Since Vatican II was declared by the Pope who called it and the Pope who closed it as pastoral and non-dogmatic, believers are both free to ignore it while remaining obliged to cling to the prior dogmatic councils.
The fact that it can be interpreted as magisterial and apostolic but can also be interpreted contrary to prior dogmatic councils makes Vatican II unworthy of consideration. We have a rich library of clear and definitive Apostolic teaching. Wasting time on ambiguous pastoral texts is a distraction.

An eight-month-old baby girl was swept into Lake Michigan on February 19 when strong winds blew her stroller into the water near Belmont Harbor in Chicago, USA. Her caregiver screamed for help. Lio Cundiff, 30, who reportedly does not swim, saw that the woman "was in too much shock to do anything". He jumped into the icy lake, grabbed the stroller, and held it above the surface to keep the baby’s head from going under. Passers-by soon pulled Cundiff and the baby ashore. The baby was treated and found to be in good condition. The man was hospitalized for monitoring and later released.

Man jumps into icy Lake Michigan to rescue 8-month-old baby - LifeSite

CHICAGO (
LifeSiteNews) — A man saved an eight-month-old baby girl from drowning in Lake Michigan after he jumped into its icy waters.
Lio Cundiff, 30, was taking a walk along Belmont Harbor in Chicago while wishing a happy belated birthday to his aunt on the phone when he heard a woman scream and saw a stroller with a baby inside swept into Lake Michigan by a strong gust of wind.
“I wasn’t going to let that baby die,” Cundiff, who reportedly does not swim, told Fox10 from a nearby hospital, where his heart was being monitored after the rescue.
“I immediately dropped my phone, threw my jacket off,” Cundiff told Block Club Chicago. “I realized the woman was in too much shock to do anything, which is more than understandable. So I thought, ‘I guess I’m going in.’”
Cundiff jumped into the water and grabbed ahold of the stroller, with the baby still strapped in.
“I just held the stroller up,” Cundiff said. “I was thinking …

A Scottish grandmother posted the following today, begging the public for help: "This is my grandson, Lucas, being attacked by a gang of Asian youths. Lucas attends BELLAHOUSTON ACADEMY in Glasgow. Lucas is 12 and from the day he started at this school, he has been bullied for being white and little bit overweight plus he is tall for his age. Lucas has ADHD and a degree of Autism. These youths are from his school and are older. They told him they will Rape, Stab or Shoot his mother. They are terrorising the whole area and have been for around a year. We have now involved the Police, Media and written to the Board of Education. He is terrified to go back to school, Lucas is the kindest boy you could ever wish to meet. This has to stop".

Federal waste as staff burns through taxpayer money
Jen Psaki points out that in first term, Cabinet members who wasted taxpayer money on personal luxuries like planes were cast out of the administration. He appears to have lost his aversion to that type of abuse because making spectacles of themselves indulging in taxpayer funded benefits, but haven't prompted any scorn from Trump for doing so. Jon Lovett, co-host of Pod Save America on Crooked Media, joins Jen Psaki to discuss. Border czar
Tom Homan dismissed Pope Leo’s criticism of President Donald Trump’s deportation policies on Wednesday by comparing the fortified walls around the Vatican to the United States’s own border security efforts.
During a brief encounter with reporters, Homan was asked about Leo’s comments condemning mass deportations, including that the U.S. is doing them in a “disrespectful” way. Homan said Vatican City itself is a walled state and that the pontiff should focus on the Catholic Church’s “own issues.”

He is not "dismissing the Pope," he is dismissing the insanity of open borders.

Speaking at a conference on “Transformative Renewal in the Catholic Church,” an Irish bishop said that young people are interested in doctrinal solidity, not open-ended synodal discussions, and that “the task is not to choose between synodality and tradition but to integrate them.”

Bishop Coll: young Catholics seek ‘doctrinal solidity, not adaptability’ - The Irish Catholic

While Church debates continue about synodality and reform in preparation for an Irish Synod in October, Bishop Niall Coll of Raphoe has delivered a clear and sometimes firm message: the next generation of Catholics is not looking for endless discussion or progressive experimentation — they are looking for truth.
Speaking to a gathering of over 100 people at Kimmage Manor for the launch of Transformative Renewal in the Catholic Church, by Fr John O’Brien CSSp, Bishop Coll spoke about what he called the “I-Gen” — young Catholics born from 1995 onward and “Gen-Z”.
Far from demanding doctrinal change, Bishop Coll said this generation is showing signs of renewed seriousness about the faith. “Growing up (since 1995) entirely in a post-Christian, digital, morally fragmented culture they have no inherited memory of Catholic Ireland. Paradoxically, this leads many of them to …

The cowards compromise. Synodality is discussion of different views and experiences of flawed people. Catechisis is about passing on the Apostolic faith passed down from those who knew Christ and received solid unshakable inspiration through the Holy Ghost. The two are not compatible in any way. There are teachers and learners. Properly formed catechists listen to catechumens only to correct and deepen understanding. The Synodal process seeks to adapt Apostolic truth to the feelings, misconceptions and urges of those who need to be led.

On February 22, following the death of cartel leader “El Mencho” and a wave of violence across Mexico, two priests in Jalisco prayed from the top of their church. Unable to celebrate public Sunday Eucharist due to security concerns, Rev. Ricardo López Díaz went to the bell tower of Holy Cross Church in El Salto and gave the Eucharistic blessing. Rev. Pedro Martínez Navarro later joined him, and together they prayed for peace.

The question does bring up what one should believe. Charlie says he personally viewed the curvature of the Earth from a plane. But if you or I had to experience everything ourselves, we would be very limited. So, in order to be blessed (like those who have not seen but believe) we need some way to decide whom to trust. Leo? Pius X?
The only thing I can come up with is the instruction to "tests the spirits". Do I trust Leo? What kind of spirit has he displayed?
For sources with which one has no experience one could use, "Follow the money." This student who saw a website which offered that the Earth is flat makes its money on clicks. Clicks come only with sensational headlines and "secret knowledge", so that (and this comment) should be taken with a grain of salt. Broadcast news, a whole shaker of salt, politicians an ocean of salt, etc.
I suspect that there is a well thought out Catholic guidance on what to believe. I haven't come across it yet.

Red Pill Dispenser @redpilldispensr Frank Zappa was decades ahead of his time. He said this in 1981: "Schools train people to be ignorant. They give you the equipment that you need to be a functional ignoramus." "They prepare you to be a usable victim for a military industrial complex that needs manpower." "As long as you're just smart enough to do a job, and just dumb enough to swallow what they feed you, you're going to be alright." "Schools mechanically and very specifically try and breed out any hint of creative thought in the kids that are coming up."
