Štyria katolíci boli zatknutí v Radžastane po tom, čo hinduistickí nacionalistickí aktivisti vtrhli na katolícke zhromaždenie asi 70 veriacich a obvinili ich z "násilných konverzií". Polícia zasiahla a štyroch katolíkov zadržala, hoci podľa cirkevných predstaviteľov išlo o pokojné náboženské podujatie, na ktorom sa zúčastnili len kresťania. Útoky a prenasledovanie kresťanov sa v celej Indii naďalej množia.

A polícia interveio e deteve os quatro católicos, apesar de os líderes da Igreja afirmarem que a reunião era um evento religioso pacífico em que só participavam cristãos. Os ataques e o assédio contra os cristãos continuam a aumentar em toda a Índia.

...A pensare male si fa peccato ma si ha tanto il legittimo sospetto che dietro tanta reticenza ci possa essere il timore che la produzione integrale degli atti possa portare a smontare le accuse a carico di Becciu, e magari a scoprire che a volere la sua caduta è stato proprio il pontefice argentino, colui che lo ha condannato prima ancora del processo e ha fatto di tutto, con i rescripta contestati e annullati, per incastrare il suo ex collaboratore. Per un papa che qualcuno vorrebbe “santo subito” non sarebbe certo una grande prova di santità ma semmai un ulteriore dimostrazione di quanto quel papa fosse lontano da un modello di santità.
Si nasconde la verità quando si ha paura di essa. In quella vicenda, evidentemente, c'è tanto di quel marcio che a confronto di quello che è emerso è nulla.
