𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐬𝐫𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝. At this link you can listen to the Sixth Lecture of the series "Prophecy and the End Times," which Father Leonardo Castellani (Universal Sacred Doctor by bull of Pius XI) delivered in 1969. Audio in Spanish.
Visit our Blog: pagina-catolica.blogspot.com At the High Mass of the Virgin Mary (La Virgen Grande), broadcast live by Cantabria Television, the parish priest of the Assumption of Torrelavega (Spain) relativized the dogma defined by Pius XII, attributed the Marian titles to "mythology" and introduced a "contemplative dance" surrounding the altar with colored skirts —men included— between the Gospel and the homily, in addition to jotas and pericotes in the middle of the offertory. The parish priest said: "The colors signify that we are open to everyone, and dancing in circles indicates that no one is left out at the table of the Eucharist." Father Juan Carlos Rodriguez del Pozo said in his homily: "Today we celebrate Mary's ascension to heaven, body and soul. Obviously, we don't have to take it literally. No human being will ascend to heaven body and soul. Heaven is not a physical place. Heaven is a state of the soul, a state of fullness, of happiness." "God chooses Mary, a humble …More
Prophecies of the Blessed Virgin. Homily on the Solemnity of the Assumption preached by Father Leonardo Castellani SJ (Universal Sacred Doctor by bull of Pius XI) in 1965. Audio in Spanish and Summary in English.
It is striking that the strong earthquake in Bogotá, Colombia, seems not to affect this chapel of the Good Shepherd Institute at the very moment when the priest consecrates the sacred species during the Tridentine Mass. Visit our Blog: pagina-catolica.blogspot.com
On August 15th, we will celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Here you can view the proclamation of this dogma by Pope Pius XII. Also, see an English version and more information in our blog post: Vea a Pio XII proclamar la Asunción
Poor Jesus. Just as there is nothing sacred in dancing on Calvary, there is nothing sacred in jumping in the presence of Jesus in the holy sacrament. One more hireling leading the flock astray.
Monsignor Stricklan asks: You who are Catholic: Have you ever heard the word Modernism? Si hablas Español puedes leer una traducción en nuestro Blog: ¿Has oído alguna vez la palabra Modernismo?
The Church has been decimated, as the late great Fr Meuli told us “You can no longer rely on the Church, its every man for himself.” Vatican II proclaimed no “Anathema” you’re ok and I am ok!
Die Kirche …More
Homily for the 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time. Preached by father Alberto Ezcurra -RIP- (Audio recorded in 1987 -Spanish). In Sacred Scripture, the sea is a symbol of the world, its frailties, changes, and dangers. The roar of the sea and the waves is also the noise of the world that hinders prayer; for the Word of God, like a gentle breeze that reaches the heart of man, speaks in silence. Only Jesus Christ, Lord of time and history, reigns over the elements and gives us security and confidence. It is not for nothing that one reads on the thresholds of many convents and on the domes of countless churches: "Crux Stat, Dum Volvitur Orbis - The Cross remains while the world changes." And so that we may have a solid foundation, He has placed Peter, the vicarious rock of the true Rock, as the cornerstone of His Church, a rock that remains afloat not by its own strength alone but by the call of the Lord. The Church of Christ is divine because it is fixed in the eternity of God, beyond the …More
Bishop Raúl Vera: Homosexuality is a natural phenomenon; it is neither a human perversion nor a disease. It is a condition with which a person is born, and one that we must respect and promote. Visit our Blog: pagina-catolica.blogspot.com
Deep seeded evil is natural. Baptism removes original sin but does not remove the propensity for concupiscence and, it is concupiscence which leads to every sin. So, in that sense the Bishop is right. Sodomy (Homosexuality was never the issue) is natural to fallen man and the Catholic Church calls each of us to abandon our nature and all natural sins. The Synodal club over which this Bishop presides does not believe that because it is by no means following the Catholic Religion. He and all like him need earnest prayers.
Homily for the 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time. Preached by father José Torquiaro (Spanish). Progressive theologians, attempting to transform miracles into myths, teach that the multiplication of the loaves was due to the influence of Jesus' words on his listeners, whom he supposedly persuaded to share what they had. In their folly, as Father Menvielle described this attitude 40 years ago in a lecture published on this blog (*see on the end), they fail to realize that the Gospel refutes them, because those who benefited, recognizing the performance of a great miracle, called their Benefactor the Messiah and tried to crown him king (John 6:14). If the meager offering of five loaves and two fish, shared, was enough to feed thousands, it was solely because Mercy made flesh, Jesus Christ, was present; manifested before, during, and after the miracle. Before, because the Lord had previously healed the sick; during, through the miracle itself; and after, because twelve baskets of food remained,…More
Visit our Blog: pagina-catolica.blogspot.com Father Gabriel Calvo Zarraute condemns synodality: "Synodality is a neologism invented by Bergoglio to destroy the Catholic Church, to democratize and Protestantize it. Let's call things by their name, my dears, because I'm fed up with being taken for fools! The Church is One, Holy, Catholic, and Roman, not synodal. That's anti-Catholic. What can synodality possibly give us? Well, the Church was already full of foxes, and now it will be even more so. Jesus Christ founded a hierarchical, non-democratic Church. It's not that Catholicism isn't democratic, but rather that it's anti-democratic, because Jesus Christ was condemned to death democratically. All the Greek philosophers were anti-democratic. Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, and so on. Even Cicero (in ancient Rome) was. All the ancient sages, all the great Greco-Roman thinkers, were against what we now understand as modern liberal democracy. So enough of this nonsense, especially when Pope …More
