Well, this does seem right. Who actually believes Zelensky will hold an election? If you do, you haven't been paying attention to what has been said and done in the US or West.
Leo XIV appoints another Bishop for England. He defended a homosexual Eucharist. Today, Pope Leo XIV appointed Bishop Timothy Menezes, 56, as the Bishop of Brentwood, succeeding Bishop Alan Williams, 75. Menezes has served as Auxiliary Bishop of Birmingham since his episcopal consecration in July 2024. As such, he defended the periodic homosexual Eucharists at St Patrick's parish in Coventry. The homosexual group there emerged from the Synodal process. Menezes wrote a June 1, 2025 statement about the "LGBTQ+ Vigil Welcome Mass" on May 10, 2025 : “In my conversations with some members of the group, they find attending Mass in a parish difficult against the backdrop of what they sometimes see to be a Church that does not accept them. This means that they find a Mass at which they know that they are accepted, which is a first step to hopefully full integration in our parish communities.” Notably, Bishop Menezes commented in support of the homosex Eucharist although Coventry was not within …More
In the Ruins, Catholics Found Hope: What Happened at CIC 2026 The 2026 Catholic Identity Conference did not shy away from the crisis confronting the Church. But amid warnings about synodality, religious life, and the loss of Catholic identity, something else emerged: hope. From Bishop Schneider and Sr. Mary Anne to Emperor Karl's nephew and the SSPX, Catholics in Pittsburgh were reminded that Christ remains King and that Our Lady's Heart will triumph. However, far from leaving me despondent, the speakers’ unflinching candor ignited something unexpected: a deep, resilient hope. For amid the …More

You will see them, distressed and miserable, during the services. But no sooner is the service over (and often even before the priest has actually left the altar) than they will be pressing around the door from which the first of the congregation are streaming out, and you will notice that all the joy which they had lost during the service has come back again. They are so tired that often they have not the "strength" to come back to the evening service. If you were to ask them why they were not coming to this, they would tell you: "Ah, we would have to be all the day in the church. We have other …More
"For such people there is no question of instruction, nor of the Rosary, nor of evening prayers. They look upon all these things as of no consequence. If you asked them what had been said during the instruction, they would say: "He did too much shouting.... He bored us to death.... I can't remember anything else about it.... If it hadn't been so long, it might have been easier to remember some of it.... That is just what keeps the world away from religious services -- they are too long."
