An unpublished letter by Benedict XVI on Christian prayer, dated April 27, 2021, has been published in the Italian book ‘La fede del futuro’. His short meditation. In general, prayer is the fundamental religious act. It is an attempt to establish a direct connection with God. The peculiarity of Christian prayer is that one prays with Jesus Christ and to Him simultaneously. As both man and God, Jesus can be the bridge that overcomes the infinite abyss between God and man. In this sense, Christ is the ontological possibility of prayer. For this reason, he is also the practical guide to prayer. His disciples, who had seen him pray, addressed this request to him: "Lord, teach us to pray" (Lk 11:1). They recalled that John the Baptist had taught his disciples to pray, knowing that Jesus was infinitely closer to God than even the greatest religious figure: John the Baptist. Thus, the two fundamental characteristics of prayer emerge: those relative to being and awareness. These two characteristics …More
Augustinians to Close Cork Church After 800 Years: After nearly 800 years in Cork, Ireland, the Order of St Augustine will close St Augustine’s Church this July. The decision, described as being taken with “great sadness,” follows an accelerating decline in vocations that began in the mid-1970s. Of the 70 Augustinian priests in Ireland, only 10 are under 70. The Cork community is now down to just three members.
Religious order to end near 800-year association with Cork when it closes church in city centre
A religious community which has been ministering to the people of Cork for almost 800 years its to close its church in the city centre later this year. Vicar Provincial of the Augustinians in Ireland, Fr Paddy O’Reilly, told the congregation attending a Vigil Mass at St Augustine’s on Washington Street on Saturday that the order was closing the church in July due to falling vocations. O’Reilly told Mass-goers that the decision to close St Augustine’s was taken with “great sadness”. He said that since the mid-1970s, the order had experienced “a slow but accelerating decline in vocations”. According to the Order of St Augustine website, it has 70 priests living in 10 locations in Ireland. READ MORE O’Reilly told worshippers that only 10 of these priests are under the age of 70 and more than half its members are over 80. It is understood that St Augustine’s, which was run with the consent of the Bishop of Cork and Ross, is now home to just three Augustinian priests following the deaths …
It would be nice if “Fr. Paddy” (as I’m sure he’s now known) would own up to the fact that he and his Modernist confreres bare as much responsibility for the collapsing membership as any of the other supporters of the Conciliar Church. He’d have to have been living in a cave not to realize that he could revive his membership almost overnight by simply offering the Traditional Latin Mass once a week. Indeed, if he were to offer it exclusively, as well as denouncing the false and heretical teachings of Vatican II (such as Ecumenism, Religious Liberty and Collegiality), the church would be as crowded as it was a hundred years ago. Yet, he won’t do that. He’ll put the church on the market and allow the once sacred space to be turned into a restaurant, a hotel, or even an Islamic mosque. One thing is for certain, however. He will never sell it to the SSPX no matter how generous the offer may be. After all, the Society is authentically Catholic. I shed not a tear for them.
“Everyone, truly Everyone!” Leo XIV preached pacifism during his visit to the Ascension Parish in eastern Rome on Sunday. He demands a “logic of unconditional love, of abandoning every defense that becomes offense”. Furthermore, Leo XIV applauded the parish for its “journey to strengthen the sense of belonging and welcome, with open arms, of everyone, truly everyone”. Meanwhile, a Brazil bishop threatens Catholics of the Roman rite with excommunication.

Sometimes wars MUST be fought. If there were never any wars, everything might today be part of the Roman Empire. If not for the Crusades, we would all be under Moslem leadership. War is a punishment for sin, but nations have a right and a moral obligation to keep their countries safe and that means war oftentimes cannot be avoided.
100%! They are trying to usher in the antichrist. Some say trump is being told lies. But I don't buy that at all. And if he is being told by those who are working against him, then it's worse than we thought. He is not his own person. And he is owned. And we know by whom he is owned. Trying to hide the epstein files and what he did. And protecting his family as well.
The problem with this statement is that we may not know if they are zionist cells. That is what they did to Syria while sending mass migration to Europe. Remember 9/11 is National False Flag day.
Leo XIV has appointed Archbishop Mário Antônio da Silva, 59, as the new Archbishop of Aparecida. The archdiocese is significant because it houses Brazil's National Shrine. Born on October 17, 1966, he was ordained a priest on December 21, 1991, for the Diocese of Jacarezinho. Benedict XVI appointed him as Auxiliary Bishop of Manaus in 2010. Francis promoted him to Bishop of Roraima in 2016 and to Archbishop of Cuiabá in 2022. He is President of Caritas Brazil. Monsignor da Silva participated in the Amazon Synod in October 2019. He was among the drafting committee responsible for preparing the Synod's final document. Wisdom of the Indigenous and Hugging Trees In October 2019, during the Amazon Synod, Bishop da Silva used all of Francis’ buzzwords. The Synod provided an opportunity to “listen to the voice of the Amazon” and to open “new paths” for the Church and integral ecology. He also supported the concept of “ecological conversion”. He called the Synod “an opportunity to get in …More
Further proof that Prevost is not a Catholic pope, but an enemy of God and the Church who attacks Catholic faith and morals. By supporting an apostate who promotes the Amazonian rite, he defies the First Commandment and Church doctrine that forbids idolatry. Moreover, by supporting married priests, he defies even the Second Vatican Council, which they use as an excuse to brazenly endorse their apostasy, since it reaffirmed celibacy and condemned the Marxist priests of the Third World who, defying the Church, supported the abolition of celibacy and promoted married priests.
The Holy Lance that pierced Christ’s side was displayed for veneration on Saturday at St. Peter’s Basilica. Each year during the first week of Lent, the relic is solemnly presented to the faithful during a special Lenten procession and Eucharist before being returned to the Chapel of Relics.
The Holy Lance—traditionally believed to have pierced Christ’s side—has long been venerated in Christian tradition. The soldier who used it is identified as Saint Longinus. Each year during the first week of Lent, a solemn procession moves through St. Peter’s Basilica as the Litany of the Saints is chanted, concluding with Mass at the Altar of the Chair.

Fri Feb 27, 2026 - 3:15 pm ESTMon Mar 2, 2026 - 6:32 am EST MONTREAL (LifeSiteNews) — A historic Catholic church in Montreal, Canada, was reduced to near rubble in a huge blaze, the cause of which investigators still have not determined. The over 100-year-old Saint-Paul Catholic Church in Montreal, Quebec, went up in flames on February 23. A food bank next to it was also reduced to ashes. The church was built in 1910 and holds significant historical meaning for the local community. While the church has been vacant for some time, about 148 people had to flee the area due to the flames, including over 70 seniors who lived in a nearby care home. The cause of the church fire, say investigators, is not yet known; however, it comes at a time when arson attacks on Catholic churches in Canada have reached epidemic-like proportions. Mayor of the local borough of Saint-Paul’s, Véronique Fournier, in a statement on social media, said the fire is “challenging for the residents of Côte-Saint-Paul …

Blackwater Founder Fumes to Steve Bannon About Iran Strikes: ‘I Don’t Think This Was in America’s Interests’ Blackwater founder Erik Prince told Steve Bannon he was disappointed in the U.S. strikes that killed Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, with Prince saying he did not believe the mission served “America’s interests.” Prince — who served as a Navy SEAL before founding the private military contractor in 1997 — vented he did not know what the endgame was for President Donald Trump during his appearance on Bannon’s WarRoom on Sunday. His appearance comes one day after the joint American-Israeli strikes eliminated the ayatollah and dozens of other leaders from Iran’s theocratic regime. Bannon noted it was a “spectacular” result, but Prince was not as thrilled. “Look Steve, I’m not happy about the whole thing. I don’t think this was in America’s interests,” Prince said. “It’s going to uncork a significant can of worms and chaos and destruction in Iran now.” He then …More
