Quran Readings for Epiphany in a Spanish Parish

The Catholic parish of Guissona, a small town in the province of Lleida in Catalonia, Spain, has introduces passages from the Quran into its Epiphany celebration on January 5, during a traditional procession, reports InfoVaticana.com.
The parish wrote on its Instagram account that the initiative forms part of what it described as an “inclusive process” developed over the past two years. This process takes into account “the religion of the different kings and pages” participating in the celebration.
During the ceremony, passages from the Quran were read alongside the Gospels.
The parish, which belongs to the Catholic Diocese of Urgell, defended the decision as a way of conveying a shared “message of peace” among people of different faiths.
Furthermore, the kissing of the statue of the Baby Jesus was omitted. The parish explained that such a gesture was considered inappropriate for Muslims.

Mike Huckabee says it's 'hard' for him to understand why some Christians aren't Zionists - LifeSite

U.S. readers:
Tell Congress to stop Zionists from stealing Christian property
(LifeSiteNews) — Mike Huckabee, the U.S. ambassador to Israel, wrote a lengthy X post Tuesday defending Christian Zionism in response to a statement from the Christian Patriarchs of the Holy Land that condemned the ideology, saying it’s “hard” for him to understand why some Christians haven’t embraced Zionism.
In his January 20 post, the former governor of Arkansas expressed his belief that the Christian leaders who had condemned “Christian Zionism” a few days earlier do not speak for all the world’s Christians. He further emphasized that it’s tough for him to understand why anyone who calls themselves a Christian would not also be a Zionist, repeating the idea that the nation of Israel was promised to the Jews in the Old Testament.
In a January 17 statement, the patriarchs and heads of the Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant churches in …

Why some Christians haven’t embraced Zionism-
The ANTI-CHRISTIAN plan of the Talmudic supremists includes:
1. The destruction of the present order of the world through the genocide of 90 percent of the populations of people in the world presently taking place in Palestine and in the ongoing agenda 2030 goals
2. The creation of a universal zionist world-wide Empire against the Christians whom they call goyim which means animals/cattle
3. Their final solution is their attempted conquest of the universe to Lucifer Triumphant over the ONE and ONLY ALMIGHTY GOD

Let’s talk about The Disastrous Pontificate with its author Dominic J. Grigio

Os Justi Press have released their first book for 2026, Dominic J. Grigio’s ‘The Disastrous Pontificate: Pope Francis’ Rupture from the Magisterium.’ At over 870 pages, Peter Kwasniewski describes it as the definitive, encyclopedic guide to the heresies and destructive actions of Pope Francis and his collaborators. He explains that Dominic J. Grigio is the pen-name of a cleric in good standing with the Church who cannot reveal his identity for fear of reprisals against himself and his diocese. It has been strongly endorsed by eminent Catholic philosophers and theologians, including: Rev. Gerald E. Murray, Edward Feser, Eduardo Echeverria, Philip F. Lawler, John Rist, Michael Sirilla, Claudio Pierantoni, and Josef Seifert.
Dominic J. Grigio has given his first interview to Gloria.TV

Why did you publish your book under a pen-name?
My natural preference is for my name to be out in the open, to openly stand by my published work, particularly when I’m writing about such a topic. However,…Yana

The Holy See’s labor office is pushing back on claims of widespread worker dissatisfaction after an internal survey by the Association of Vatican Lay Employees (ADLV) alleged distrust of leadership and instances of workplace bullying.
In an interview with the official Vatican News outlet, Monsignor Marco Sprizzi, president of the Office of Labor of the Apostolic See (ULSA), said his office “always has its doors open” and stressed that its mission is to ensure “there are no situations in which employees’ rights are not respected or are violated in any way.”
“It doesn’t seem to me that the discontent is widespread,” Sprizzi said, noting that the survey sample was “very small,” amounting to “less than 5% of employees.”

The Holy See’s labor office is pushing back on claims of widespread worker dissatisfaction after an internal survey by the Association of Vatican Lay Employees (ADLV) alleged distrust of leadership and instances of workplace bullying.

According to the report, 250 people responded to the
survey, with about 80% of respondents belonging to the ADLV. The Holy See has around 4,200 workers, though Vatican News estimated the overall figure at more than 6,000 when including retirees.
Sprizzi added that …

Well they got a nice sized crowd in D.C. at least. From where I'm at, the "March for Life" was very low-key & downplayed. Used to be they sent all types of youth groups, seminarians, etc to the March. But this year- NOTHING except a mention at Mass yesterday, and that NOT even in the homily but only opening remarks and "prayers of the faithful" [General Intercessions] that made sure to "balance" the Right to Life with all sorts of seamless garment stuff like immigration, poverty, & mental health!

Vatican Employees "Demotivated and Bullied", Says Survey

Vatican employees are “demotivated, tired of their complicated relationship with curial leadership, and often even bullied”. This is the result of the first representative survey conducted among Vatican staff.
The poll was carried out between 15 September and 7 January and drew responses from 250 employees, 80% of them members of the ADLV, an internal association similar to a union. Trade unions are not formally recognized in the Vatican.
The Holy See employs about 4,200 people, most of whom are not members of the ADLV, reportedly for fear of internal repercussions.
The survey paints a bleak picture of working conditions under Pope Francis, described as marked by “extremely high points of friction.” The arrival of Pope Leo XIV has raised cautious hopes, notably after he restored the conclave bonus that Francis had abolished.
Key findings underline widespread discontent:
- 75.9% say human resources are poorly placed, valued, and motivated.
- 73.9% perceive a disconnect between workers …Yana

A man once believed retirement was the finish line. Only later did he realize it was the start of a completely different battle.
For forty years he repeated the same sentence whenever he felt exhausted:
“Just hold on a little longer. You’ll rest when you retire.”
He pictured fishing.
He pictured sleeping in.
He pictured a life without bosses, deadlines, or alarm clocks.
At 65, he signed the papers. He got a cake, a commemorative watch, a round of handshakes, and warm wishes about “finally enjoying life.”
On the drive home, he smiled — it felt like something bright and easy was about to begin.
The honeymoon phase lasted exactly one month.
The first pension check snapped him back to reality.
The income was fixed.
Prices for food weren’t.
Prices for medication weren’t.
Utilities definitely weren’t.
He sat at the kitchen table, doing math on scraps of paper — adding, erasing, and adding again — and the numbers still refused to agree.
To cover groceries and prescriptions, he had to …Yana

RATZINGER IN 1990: ANTI-MODERNISM HAS BEEN SUPERSEDED.

"The text [of the instruction Donum Veritatis] also offers different forms of binding which arise from different levels of magisterial teaching. It states -perhaps for the first time with such clarity -that there are magisterial decisions which cannot be and are not intended to be the last word on the matter as such, but are a substantial anchorage in the problem and are first and foremost an expression of pastoral prudence, a sort of provisional disposition. Their core remains valid, but the individual details influenced by the circumstances at the time may need further rectification. In this regard one can refer to the statements of the Popes during the last century on religious freedom as well as the anti-modernistic decisions at the beginning of this century, especially the decisions of the Biblical Commission of that time. As a warning cry against hasty and superficial adaptations they remain fully justified; a person of the stature of Johann Baptist Metz has said, for example,…Yana
