Austrian-born emeritus Amazon bishop Erwin Kräutler told Kath.ch on March 27 that Pope Francis may have refrained from abolishing celibacy due to external pressure. He believes Francis was open to the idea at the 2019 Amazon Synod but ultimately did not adopt it in the 2020 document Querida Amazonia: "That makes me wonder: who is responsible for this rift?" Kräutler said, suggesting outside influence. The Amazon Bishop reveals that Francis "was put under such pressure that he could no longer do otherwise psychologically and personally, and didn’t dare allow the ordination of married men as priests," despite previously encouraging "bold proposals". Monsignor Kräutler added that the Amazon bishops had hoped for female priests, too. Many communities in the Amazon are "already" led by women. In his religion, the ordination of women is a matter of church law that could be changed with a single signature. Kräutler served as Prelate of Xingu in Brazil from 1981 to 2015 and helped prepare the …ད་རུང་།
2017-05-28 – For Souls Who Feel Discouraged Trying to Do God’s Wil Poem-Song: "Abba's Heart" (Condensed Version) (Solo male, fatherly, gentle, loving, solemn, sorrowful yet confident) My Florecita, let us write for My poor little children, Who suffer the torment of wanting to do My Will, And seeing themselves so poor and incapable, And who feel like they disappoint Me. My little ones, receive these Words from My Fatherly Heart. Yes, it is I, your Father. Your Abba. Come and lay your little head on My Heart, and rest. Let My Peace and the certainty that I understand you come in. I see you as little children. I receive you as such. Happy that My children want to love Me, know Me, obey Me. I Am the patient Father. See how I have done everything in nature, little by little. A tree does not bear fruit immediately. I do the same in your spirit, little children. Little by little. Patience. Let My Words and My smile drop down as a refreshing shower. Drink of My Love. Remember: The simple desire …ད་རུང་།

Built precisely over the tomb of Saint Peter, above a necropolis on the slope of the Vatican hill, the first Basilica of Saint Peter in Rome began to be erected in the 330s by the first Christian emperor, Constantine the Great (272–337). On either side of the façade of the basilica two sumptuous imperial mausoleums were preserved. In a most fitting way, they were, over the following centuries, transformed into chapels: one dedicated to Saint Petronilla, the eldest daughter of Saint Peter, and the other to his brother, Saint Andrew. That Saint Peter was married and had children is attested by the Gospels: Jesus heals Peter’s mother-in-law (Mt 8:14–15); and in Peter’s house at Capernaum, Jesus takes a child, embraces him, sets him forth as an example and identifies him with himself (Mk 9:33–37). Saint Paul, for his part, clearly suggests that, like the other apostles, after Pentecost Saint Peter set out on mission with his family (1 Cor 9:5). That said, some hagiographers maintain that …ད་རུང་།

Noelia Castillo Ramos, 25, was killed on March 26 at the Catholic-owned Residència Sant Camil hospital in Sant Pere de Ribes. She was taken into state custody at age 13, separated from her parents, and became the victim of a gang rape by immigrants. In 2022, she jumped from a fifth-floor window. She survived, but was left paraplegic. In 2024, she requested assisted suicide. Her father opposed the decision in court, but ultimately lost. Following her death, he released videos showing that she had begun to stand up again and rediscover hope (video below). The lawyer has alleged that the hospital expedited her death because her organs had already been allocated to other patients. The killing procedure – ultimately done by organ harvesting - was carried out in her hospital room at Sant Camil. Sant Camil Hospital was founded by the Camillian religious order. It is currently publicly managed within Catalonia’s healthcare system. However, it remains under religious ownership and continues to …ད་རུང་།

"19. “To approach God we must believe.” (Heb 11:6) Thus speaks St. Paul. Christ washes his disciples' feet. The treason of Judas. The new commandment of love. 1Before the festival day of the pasch, Jesus knowing that his hour was come, that he should pass out of this world to the Father: having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them unto the end. 2 And when supper was done, (the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, to betray him,) 3 Knowing that the Father had given him all things into his hands, and that he came from God, and goeth to God; 4 He riseth from supper, and layeth aside his garments, and having taken a towel, girded himself. 5 After that, he putteth water into a basin, and began to wash the feet of the disciples, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. [1] "Before the festival day of the pasch": This was the fourth and last pasch of the ministry of Christ, and according to the common computation, was in the thirty-third year of our Lord: and in the year of the world 4036. Book of Ezekiel 37,21-28. Thus says the Lord GOD: I will take the children of Israel from among the nations to which they have come, and gather them from all sides to bring them back to their land. I will make them one nation upon the land, in the mountains of Israel, and there shall be one prince for them all. Never again shall they be two nations, and never again shall they be divided into two kingdoms. No longer shall they defile themselves with their idols, their abominations, and all their transgressions. I will deliver them from all their sins of apostasy, and cleanse them so that they may be my people and I may be their God. My servant David shall be prince over them, and there shall be one shepherd for them all; they shall live by my statutes and carefully observe my decrees. They shall live on the land which I gave to my servant Jacob, the land where their fathers lived; they shall live on it forever, they, and their children, and their children's children, with my servant David …ད་རུང་།
Buch Ezechiel 37,21-28. ད་རུང་།
Leo XIV visited Monaco today. The trip included meetings with Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, as well as encounters with clergy and youth, and a Eucharist attended by around 15,000 people. At the end of the Eucharist, Leo XIV greeted 100-year-old priest César Penzo, who has served as chaplain to the princes of Monaco for 45 years.
Dopo 45 anni trascorsi come cappellano dei principi di Monaco, padre César Penzo assistette alla storica visita di papa Leone XIV, partecipò alla messa e ebbe l’occasione di salutare il Santo Padre al termine della funzione.
