The Dictatorship of Relativism and The Catholic Teacher.
The Dictatorship of Relativism And The Catholic Teacher. Going Deeper-CatholicTeacherFormation on Sep 24, 2014 "In this video I explore the powerful words of Pope Benedict XVI on the 'dictatorship of relativism'. The effective Catholic teacher needs to understand that many powerful forces have been impacting Catholic education over recent centuries. Pope Benedict draws our attention to the truth that we need to be aware that relativism ultimately enslaves rather than liberates. He states:"We are moving toward a dictatorship of relativism which does not recognize anything as definitive and has as its highest value one’s own ego and one’s own desires. The church needs to withstand the tides and trends and the latest novelties. We must become mature in this adult faith, we must guide the flock of Christ to this faith." An authentic Catholic teacher needs to realise that a crucial part of their vocation and mission is to help young people encounter the truth and to point out the fact that …More
[Venerable Mary of Agreda – XVII Century AD; Agreda, Spain; Mystic; Writer; ‘Blue Nun’] “The blessed Virgin thanked her prudent spouse for the affection which he manifested for her, and they decided to set out immediately for the house of Elizabeth. St. Joseph prepared provisions for the journey,—some fruit, bread, and a few small fishes, which he purchased. He had also a little beast of burden, which was lent him to carry his provisions, and his spouse, the Queen of all that is created. With this equipage they set out for Judea. They had scarcely left their house, when our Queen, kneeling before St. Joseph, asked his blessing, in order to begin the day in the name of the Lord. The saint hesitated, for, by long experience, he knew the excellence of his spouse, but the holy and sweet importunities of the august Mary conquered, and he blessed her in the name of the Most High.» “At that time,” saith the sacred text, “ Mary, rising up, went into the hill country with haste, into a city …More
"St. Joseph went on before to give notice to the inmates of the house, and, having knocked _at the door, he saluted them, saying: ‘“ May the Lord be with you, and fill your souls with His divine grace.” St. Elizabeth had been already warned of their coming, for the same Lord had . revealed to her that her cousin Mary of Nazareth was on her way to visit her. Now, having heard of her arrival, she came forth quickly, with others of her family, to receive the holy Virgin, who saluted her first, saying: “ The Lord be with you, my dear cousin.” ‘“ And may the same Lord,” replied Elizabeth, “reward you for having taken the trouble to give me this consolation.”

“There's a pattern that keeps repeating itself down the ages. Father Hewko knows a good deal about the Cristeros, who were the heroes of the Catholic resistance to the Masons in the 20th century. A tremendous story. And they were betrayed by the church. Counter-reformation. Then the devil comes back and attacks again. So this time, it's liberalism that swings off to the left. Liberalism. Vatican II sweeps almost the whole thing off to in line with modernism. It's the retread of modernism, which is the retread of liberalism and Protestantism. It's all basically the same thing. The church, Archbishop Lefebvre continues the straight line of Catholicism. Archbishop Lefebvre. He sticks to the true faith and continues the straight line of Catholicism. Straight. He holds straight and he also begins to rebuild. His society begins to expand throughout the world. A few years ago, well a year ago, the last few years, the society has been all over the world. And there are a few countries, well …More
The Priest Executed for Peace in Regensburg | Johann Maier (with Dr. Bernhard Lübbers) Walking4History In the final days of World War II, Regensburg stood on the brink of destruction. In this video, I’m joined by Dr. Bernhard Lübbers to tell the story of Domprediger Johann Maier on the day he was executed (24 April 1945): what led to his arrest, why the Nazi authorities condemned him, and what his actions meant in the chaos of April 1945. In the second half, we zoom out to the immediate aftermath and the next few days as the city collapsed into the end of the war: bridges were blown to slow the U.S. advance, Regensburg came under fire, and American troops entered the city on 27 April 1945. We also address a little-known but important piece of Regensburg’s history: the Flossenbürg concentration camp subcamp in Stadtamhof (“Colosseum”) and what the Americans found as the Nazi system fell apart. Viewer note: This episode includes discussion of Nazi violence, execution, and concentration …More

There are three traditional types of Chläuse – the Schöne, Schö-Wüeschte, and Wüeschte – each wearing unique, fully handmade costumes, masks, and heavy bells. The groups wander from house to house, offering blessings and performing rhythmic bell ringing that can be heard across the valleys. Vatican Prelate Clarifies Tucho’s Confusion on Coredemptrix: Monsignor Maurizio Gronchi, a consultant for the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, told EWTN on December 20 that there is no absolute prohibition on the Marian titles “Co-Redemptrix” and “Mediatrix.” While these titles should no longer appear in official Church documents or liturgical texts, they may still be used within popular devotion. However, Tucho’s document had stated that the title “Co-Redemptrix” is “always inappropriate.” Addressing Catholics, Monsignor Gronchi reassured them: “They should not feel confused.”
