Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad, Prefect of the Dicastery for interreligious dialogue, visited the BAPS Hindu temple in London on 19 October, receiving a ceremonial welcome from Hindu religious leaders. He received a flower garland and toured the temple’s "sacred" spaces. Cardinal Koovakad also participated in the traditional Indian lamp-lighting ceremony, commonly called Deep Prajwalan. The ritual is performed at Hindu religious and cultural events. The gathering concluded with meditation and prayer [to whom?]. Koovakad also spoke of establishing “standards of discernment together” through interreligious dialogue.

Austrian pro-life organization Youth for Life has strongly condemned accusations made against it in The Hate Review, a report presented at the European Parliament on October 12. Published by LGBTQ+ advocacy group Forbidden Colours, the report labels Youth for Life an “anti-rights organization” and criticizes its involvement in peaceful prayer vigils outside abortion clinics. Youth for Life rejects these allegations as misleading and defamatory. Secretary General Veronika Fürst defended the organization's commitment to freedom of speech, religion and assembly, warning against political attacks on pro-life advocates.

When Fr Bijoy Joseph was growing up, Eucharistic processions simply weren’t part of parish life. “It was something that wasn’t exactly in fashion in our parishes,” he said. That changed when he entered the seminary and served at Walk with Christ, the Archdiocese of Sydney’s annual Eucharistic procession through the city. Now appointed the Director of Liturgy for the International Eucharistic Congress, Fr Bijoy now walks close to the Blessed Sacrament and sees the crowd from the front. “You’re seeing this immense mass of people walking behind our Lord and trying to walk with him,” he said. “It’s quite a moving experience. Leo XIV accepted black cross in France. On September 25, Pope Leo XIV received a black cross by French contemporary artist Lydie Arickx during his visit to President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in Paris. The cross is made from magnetic ferrite. Arickx is known for her expressionist sculptures exploring the body, nature, life and death.
