The German sophist Jürgen Habermas died on Saturday in Starnberg, Germany, at the age of 96. The German bishops have expressed their "deep condolences". Habermas was associated with the second generation of the 'Frankfurt School', which was founded in the 1920s and was heavily influenced by Karl Marx — who, coincidentally, also died on 14 March (1883). Habermas enjoyed a long and applauded career in post-war Europe. For decades, he was presented as one of the foremost proponents of the secular philosophy that came to dominate Western universities. According to Habermas's framework, moral questions such as abortion, sexuality and family values are allegedly no longer grounded in objective truth or natural law, but rather can be destructed through public 'democratic' processes. He was a typical salon leftist: a master of verbose pseudo-science who hid thin ideas behind jargon. One could call him a self-promoter or a well-paid left-wing windbag. Here is a famous quote that - typical of …
Sounds like someone whose interest in truth was overshadowed by his interest in himself....the mind is its own reality, according to Satan...So, the German bishops who have accepted modernity in all its mixed up forms lest they appear to endorse nazism...heaven forbid, must display deep sadness at the passing of someone so mixed up himself.
After just declaring bankruptcy due to sexual abuse claims, Bishop Seitz returns to his campaign of supporting illegal immigration. El Paso Catholic Bishop Mark Seitz says the “current campaign of mass detention and deportations is a grave moral evil, one which must be opposed, with prayer, peaceful action and acts of solidarity.” Seitz issued a pastoral letter on mass detentions and mass deportations after Mass on Sunday, March 12. The diocese says it is the first pastoral letter released by a Catholic bishop on this subject. “Our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, told me personally to stand in solidarity with suffering migrant families and not to remain silent,” Seitz wrote. “I will do everything I can to uphold the God-given dignity of every person in our borderlands community.” Seitz said that the El Paso Catholic Church “will redouble our ministries with those in the downtown courthouse, in the detention centers, in Ciudad Juarez and with families in our parishes.” “We will continue …

Iran's hypersonic missile struck the Mossad headquarters in the center of Tel Aviv. (Added one more video) The invasion of Iran would be catastrophic and far worse than the US war in Iraq, according to Pakistan's former Minister of Information, Mushahid Hussain Sayed. Sayed said Israel has forced the US's hand in this war, claiming that they have used blackmail to push this administration into sabotaging talks and driving the Iran war. US Invasion of Iran Would Be Far Worse Than Iraq War
Carrie Prejen Boller was not only thrown off the panel, but trump ignored and refused her emails, calls and texts. And still nothing from him. Can someone remind me and tell me how he is more Catholic than Catholics? He puts on a show to keep his so called Catholic base as his supporters. Throws them a bone and they absolutely lose it praising him to the highest mountain top. But most good Catholics gave up on him a long time ago. And others slowly but surely are on their way.
War on Iran: US evangelicals, Israeli Zionists cite holy war | UpFront The United States and Israel have often portrayed themselves as secular democracies fighting against a theocratic Islamic regime in Iran. But as the war against Iran continues to escalate, US leaders have spoken of a biblical duty to defend Israel, military commanders have referenced divine destiny, and Israeli leaders continue to cite biblical claims to territory. So why is this religious rhetoric resurfacing now? This week on UpFront, Redi Tlhabi speaks with author and Professor of American Studies and International Affairs at George Washington University Melani McAlister, and rabbi and Professor of Modern Jewish Studies at Harvard Divinity School Shaul Magid on what happens when faith, nationalism and politics collide on the global stage.
