I will agree with Michael’s main point: all these high paid personalities - who would have a nearly impossible time making up their present income otherwise - are entirely dependent on the good graces of the very bishops who continue to lead the Church in such indifferentist, damaging ways.
That is why few of these top speakers/apologists EVER criticize the hierarchy.
At least, it’s a very compelling explanation for why they fail to do so. Coffin, Kresta, Akin, Staples, Shea, et. al., virtually never, ever, emit even a peep of criticism regarding the failure to uphold ecclesial discipline, maintain the integrity of the Sacraments, defend the sanctity of life, make the salvation of souls the visible, 100% top priority for the Church, deny Communion to wanton apostates………..I could go on for a very long time.
I thank God I do not have to make my living off the Church.
In addition, most all of these top personalities also pretend, just about constantly, that the Church was created in 1965.…More

I think the problem started after Mother Angelica left EWTN and than the two lay men took it over. Pope Benedict called these kind of faithful in the book Light of the World. PROFESSIONAL CATHOLICS his words not Mike Voris. But even my local radio station here in Cincinnati keeps asking for money constantly as well. In all fairness once in a while they will admit there is a serious problem but like it was said NO bad words about the Bishops. Well BIshop Sheen did not think like this nor did Mother Angelic or Mike Voris.

If you keep your head in the sand and ignore the hypocrisy, heterodoxy and the multitude of scandals that occur on regular basis within the Catholic Church, what exactly have you accomplished other than to assuage your own misappropriation of what constitutes right and wrong?

This kind of simple minded thinking accomplishes nothing other than to further empower evil and the evil doers within the Catholic Church. The damage that these phonies have done is irrefutable.

The truth is NOT an attack and to think it is, is indicative of the mind set of modernists within the Church.

Voris is right on target and may God continue to bless him for doing and exposing what so few of the 'Professional Catholic Media Types' would ever do. Voris traffics in the truth and that's the reason he is hated. Meanwhile, his critics continue to foster the status quo within the Church and their own personal aggrandizement.

The declared enemies of God and His Church, heretics and schismatics, must be criticized as much as possible, as long as truth is not denied. It is a work of charity to shout: "Here is the wolf!" when it enters the flock or anywhere else. St. Francis de Sales

9. But their profession of fidelity to the Vicar of Christ is vain in those who, in fact, do not cease to violate the authority of their Bishops. 9. But their profession of fidelity to the Vicar of Christ is vain in those who, in fact, do not cease to violate the authority of their Bishops. For "by far the most august part of the Church consists of the Bishops, (as Our Predecessor Leo XIII of holy memory wrote in his letter of December 17, 1888, to the Archbishop), inasmuch as this part by divine right teaches and rules men; hence, whoever resists them or pertinaciously refuses obedience to them puts himself apart from the Church. . . On the other hand, to pass judgment upon or to rebuke the acts of Bishops does not at all belong to private individuals - that comes within the province only of those higher than they in authority and especially of the Sovereign Pontiff, for to him Christ entrusted the charge of feeding not only His lambs, but His sheep throughout the world. At most, it is allowed in matters of grave complaint to refer the whole case to the Roman Pontiff, and this with prudence and moderation as zeal for the common good requires, not clamorously or abusively, for in this way dissensions and hostilities are bred, or certainly increased."- St Pius X, 1906, Tribus Circiter

I do not put up websites and broadcasts attacks on the bishops, and it is not because I am paid anything by the church.

When someone came to David to tell Saul that he had killed him, expecting a reward, David killed the man for lifting up his arm against God's anointed.

I don't know if the story is true or not, if when Padre Pio was told by someone that the Archbishop of Manfredonia, who was against Padre Pio, was taking the church's collection money for himself and various other indecencies, Padre Pio screamed at the man saying 'who are you to speak like that against a bishop of the Church!'

St Catherine of Siena felt remorse over the manner that she spoke to the pope in, realizing his office, even if he was doing something wrong.

God bless,
