The term 'pervert' seems too tame. Nonetheless, it is just as scandalous that priests who have lived up to their vows and their Faith have been 'de-frocked' and/or had their faculties removed while predators such as this remain free to 'practice as priests'.

In the UK, men have been publicly vilified, lost their jobs and suffered real hardships for mild, but inappropriate behaviour (things like patting a female colleague's knee etc) but Fr Rupnik appears to have committed these far worse crimes, and there is no sense of outrage from the usual …More

In the UK, men have been publicly vilified, lost their jobs and suffered real hardships for mild, but inappropriate behaviour (things like patting a female colleague's knee etc) but Fr Rupnik appears to have committed these far worse crimes, and there is no sense of outrage from the usual vocal suspects. Maybe nuns aren't a 'protected species' in the politically-correct order.

I'm sorry, maybe I am ignorant. But how can one, as a grown adult woman, be forced to go to porn movies and partake in such things?

But on some occasions with a psychopathic predator - particularly if he has plenty of access and time to groom his victims - the victims can be all the more easily manipulated to do things which would normally be against their character. We just don't know how Rupnik got those women to do what they did. There were quite a few of them, so it seems unlikely that they were all degenerate to begin with, so I think it's down to the grooming techniques of Rupnik.
