What a joy that I found this today in Book III Chap 48 Paragraph 6 of The Imitation of Christ, which discusses the scripture from Matthew 6:21 -- "For whatsoever things I love, of the same I willingly speak and hear, and carry home with me the images of them." (atque talium imagines mecum ad domum reporto.) So, the next time I go to the Altar after Mass to have a picture blessed by Father, and my son jokes with me and says, "Where are you going to put it, Mom?" I'll just refer him to the Scriptures and to The Imitation.

St Charbel heals Elias with cancer in Damour, … Many years ago I worked with an engineer who grew up in Syria, and upstairs from his childhood home lived an old Jewish couple who would "read" Turkish coffee grounds for the neighbors. I had a chance to try some Turkish coffee and learn the significance of some of the symbols that appear on the sides and bottom of the little cup. Then, fast forward several years, I was a volunteer at a Cathedral where one of St Charbel's great nieces was also a volunteer. And, she showed me this image of St Charbel in the coffee grounds. She loved it so much, that I developed a great affection for it myself. St Charbel has been so good to so many people. @In Principio posted a picture of the miraculous hand print St Charbel left on a man's arm, and @Instaurare Omnia in Christo posted a link to a fantastic youtube about that miracle youtube.com/watch?v=7UatXxxzk_Y It's an hour long video, and has English subtitles, so to get the story you need to pay …More

This was posted with a different link yesterday, but now it seems to have disappeared - as so much does. It's wonderful, so I wanted to post again with a simple-to-access YouTube link.
“May the life of Mary, who gave birth to God, be for all of you as instructive as if it were written down. Come to know yourselves in her and carry out the good works that you have neglected in the past.” Saint Athanasios of Alexandria (3rd Century)

I miss the days when Gloria.tv reminded me of what a great blessing it is to be Catholic. Every time I checked out what had been posted, the first thing I saw on the screen was gloria.tv - the more catholic the better!
Maybe @Dr Bobus could tell me if this is an improvised version of the Ite Missa Est. Our choir director hasn't heard it before. It's pretty impressive - at least I like it.
