Trappist monastery closed: A distinct air of sadness amongst the large crowds flocking to West Waterford today, as the Cistercian Monks spend last few days at their mountainside home at Mount Melleray. It brings to an end 200 yrs of Monastic life at the Abbey, which they built from scratch on the hillside.
