Gay Marriage Is Diabolic: Springfield, Illinois Bishop Thomas John Paprocki will preside in his Cathedral over a prayer service of “supplication and exorcism in Reparation for the Sin of Same-Sex Marriage” next Wednesday to counteract Gov. Pat Quinn’s signing of the legislation that same day legalizing gay marriage in Illinois. The bishop stated that gay marriage – quote - “comes from the devil and should be condemned as such.”
A Move of the Devil: In his condemnation of gay marriage, Bishop Paprocki quoted then Buenos Aires Archbishop Bergoglio who said in June 2010: ”The Argentine people must face a situation whose result may gravely harm the family. It is the bill on matrimony of persons of the same sex. The identity of the family and its survival are in jeopardy here: father, mother, and children.” And: “At stake is the total rejection of God's law engraved in our hearts. Let us not be naïve, it is not a simple political struggle. It is an intention which is destructive of the plan of God. It is not a mere legislative project but rather a 'move' of the father of lies who wishes to confuse and deceive the children of God.”
Bishop Paprocki also declared that gay marriage is contrary to God’s plan. Therefore, those who contract such a marriage are culpable of serious sin. He also noted that politicians who enacted such a legislation are “morally complicit as co-operators in facilitating this grave sin.” Quote: “It is scandalous that so many Catholic politicians even twist the words of the pope to rationalize their actions despite the clear teaching of the Church. According to Paprocki all politicians now have the moral obligation to work for the repeal of this sinful and objectionable legislation. Quote: “We must pray for deliverance from this evil which has penetrated our state and our Church.”

Why is it that Bishop Thomas John Paprocki reacted after the law had gone into effect? I suggest he stop whining and dancing around the condemnation of sodomy and act like a Bishop! His "general condemnation" means nothing - we need to stop patting him on the head for speaking out - he hasn't done anything. His verbal assault so far has only contributed to his own sin of omission. He needs to use …More

Bishop Paprocki seems to be the leading Catholic bishops of the United States. I wonder whether Pope Francis was pleased that he quoted his words on same sex marriage.
