Rigid Francis: "We Must Be Freed From Rigidity And Frustration"
Francis was in good form at the Chrism Mass on 28 March, delivering a 22-minute homily.
As usual, he did not preside at the Eucharist, but sat on the side. He wants all priests to preside exclusively at the Novus Ordo Eucharist, but he himself seems to be fed up with it.
In the homily he spoke of himself: "We must be freed from harshness and recrimination, from selfishness and ambition, from rigidity and frustration, in order to open ourselves completely to God".
He thanked the priests - whom he usually attacks - "for your open and docile hearts", meaning that they should "obey" his arbitrariness.
"Thank you for all your hard work and your tears," he added.
