It is only since Vatican II that people have been widely encouraged to mock "Private Revelations " even those counted worthy of belief by the Church.

I think the reason for this scoffing attitude is that many of the great and holy Saints such as St Anna Maria Taigi, Blessed Elena Aiello, Blessed Anne Emmerich, Melanie Calvert of La Salette, & Marie Julie Jahenny, were extremely accurate with the prophecies Christ gave them regarding the evil within the Priesthood of the counterfeit Church.

Fatima was not a Private Revelation - it was a PUBLIC apparition. nearly 100,000 saw the sun descend to earth as though to destroy us and then return to it's customary place.

I wrote, "outright naive" regarding Putin, not Fatima! I believe in the message of Fatima with all my heart, but Putin only has the appearance of "Godliness", whereas in fact he just uses Christianity and Orthodoxy to strengthen his own position! Nowadays it is important to seemingly support the Russian "church", because on the other hand the church supports him, so one hand just washes the other. It is essential for him to seemingly be the protector of Christianity, because a large majority of the Russian people are "pro church" nowadays. Also @Holy Cannoli

This reminds me of the the way Christ converted Constantine to follow Him and save the Catholic Church from possible extinction during the days of the Pagan Roman Empire. Constantine saw an apparition of a Crucifix in the Heavens and heard the words "With THIS sign - you will Conquer." Constantine, wishing to conquer no doubt for his own selfish ends, had the sign of the Cross placed on all of his soldiers shields and his army fought as soldiers of Christ and Christ helped his win.

Should a converted Warrior become such an instrument of Chastisement putting Christ's Cross on their shields and seek victory to preserve His Church and HIS laws to be upheld, if they do so, fighting with the preservation of Christendom as their aim, it is clear from History that Our Lord would give them full support.
