Holy Hour: Pope Francis keeps a Holy Hour every day according to Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller, the prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith speaking to a German newspaper.

Vatican Guidelines: Three years ago, Madison Catholic Bishop Robert Morlino issued guidelines that gave priests the option of either washing the feet of only men on Holy Thursday or not celebrating the ritual at all. Now a diocesan spokesman said priests have the same two options this year. The men-only decision of the bishop corresponds to the binding guidelines of the Vatican.

Waxing and Waning: Catholicism is shrinking in its former U.S. heartlands in the north-east and Midwest. A typical parish in this area saw a net loss of 167 registered parishioners between 2008 and 2012. This shrinking has been offset by growth in the South and southwest of the country. The number of Catholics in the archdiocese of Atlanta has increased by 180% in the last ten years. In the growth areas two-thirds of all Catholics are Hispanic.

Arrested: A mega scam against the Vatican bank was foiled by the Pope’s Gendarmerie. It arrested an American and a Dutchman. They carried with them a briefcase containing fake titles for billions of hard currency which they were willing to deposit in the Vatican Bank. Their goal was to achieve the opening of a credit line.

Now they are marketing Francis having a daily holy hour, what's next?

No wonder the Catholics are becoming fewer & fewer in the North East. When you have a liberal bishop such as Dolan more concerned about going on TV on MSNBC Catholics are going to fall away.
